Partial replacement is the process of removing the old roof membrane and separating it from the current insulation. The work is completed by detaching the old membrane from the insulation using several different techniques. Once the old membrane is removed an inspection of existing insulation is performed. Any wet or damaged insulation is replaced with new. The next step is installing the new membrane and securing to insulation and/or deck. The new roof membrane will have new flashing detail on all transitions/penetrations. In some cases, there will be new metal coping installed at the end of project on all perimeter walls.
